JOINING CRITERIA

  • Merchandise must be marketed under a Singapore brand (a brand that originated in Singapore, even if it is foreign owned now).*
  • Branded merchandise must generally be accepted as well designed, well made and of high quality.
  • Merchandise should comply with the relevant safety and industry regulatory requirements. For packaged food brands, they must comply with HACCP standards/certification.
  • Must have mainstream retail presence in Singapore, i.e. physical shops.
  • Company must demonstrate brand management capability. 
  • Must have been in business for at least one full financial year (as of 1 October 2010).

*Merchandise need not be manufactured or designed in Singapore, but the Singapore brand owner must have commissioned or have some influence over the design of the merchandise.

PARTICIPATION FEES (pro-rated for brands joining after June)

  • Category A - Single: $5,000 per brand.
  • Category B - Group: $8,000. For companies in which the brand registered is NOT the name of the retail outlet, a special concession in which the retail outlet brand + up to 2 product brands can be registered.
  • Category C - Start-up: $3,000 per brand. Brands which have been in operation for less than 3 years with a turnover of less than $1 million but a minimum of $500,000.

These brands will be evaluated by a panel comprising of representatives from SPRING Singapore, GET SINGAPORE Board, and selected inaugural participating retailers.
